NNPCL Sacks MDs of Port Harcourt, Warri, Kaduna Refineries, Others

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has dismissed the managing directors of its Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna refineries, along with several senior officials, as part of a major shake-up under new GCEO Bayo Ojulari and board chairman Musa Ahmadu-Kida.
Among those affected is Bala Wunti, former head of National Petroleum Investment Management Services. Sources say staff with less than a year to retirement were also asked to leave, while Maryam Idrisu was appointed MD of NNPC Trading.
The overhaul follows criticism of the poor performance of the rehabilitated refineries, with Port Harcourt operating below 50% capacity and Warri refinery shut down since January due to safety issues.
