Nigerian Foodie Sets World Record by Visiting 150 Fast Food Outlets in 24 Hours

A 22-year-old content creator and food consultant, Munachimso Nwana, has broken a world record by visiting 150 fast-food restaurants in just 24 hours. The challenge took place in Abuja and surpassed the previous record of 100 restaurants set by American YouTuber Airrack last year.
According to Guinness World Records, Nwana’s journey started at Chicken Republic in Gwarinpa and ended at Kilimanjaro in the city center. He covered over 25 kilometers on foot, as private transport is not allowed for this type of record attempt.
Nwana had to purchase and consume at least one food or drink item at each location, with 75% of his orders being food. He enjoyed a variety of dishes, from shawarma and pizza to traditional Nigerian favorites like moin moin and àmàlà. Despite the large quantities of food, he ensured nothing went to waste, sharing the leftovers with his team and members of the public.
Nwana’s goal was to highlight Abuja’s vibrant food scene and showcase the richness of Nigerian cuisine. “This record proves that Nigerian food culture deserves global attention,” he said, encouraging people worldwide to explore Nigeria’s diverse culinary offerings.
