Nigeria @ 60: Kalu Condemns Secessionist Groups, Calls For All Inclusive Governance

Odogwublog reports that the Former Governor of Abia State and Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Kalu, has said that a more inclusive, participatory governance model is what the country must invest in as it marks its 60 anniversary, Daily Independent has been told.
The former governor made this comment on the occasion of Nigeria’s 60th Independence anniversary on Wednesday while commending Nigerians for their steadfastness, resilience, selflessness and patriotism in the pursuit of Nigeria’s unity.
He also tasked leaders to invest more in symbols that unite the country, recalling that while as governor, he invested in sports which earned the country continental diadems two years on a row.
According to Kalu, the strength of Nigeria lies in her cultural, ethnic and religious diversity.
He faulted perpetrators of secession agenda among ethnic groups, stressing that Nigeria will not break up but will continue to wax strong as a united and prosperous nation.
