New Yobe Police Commissioner Vows to Enhance Security and Personnel Welfare

The newly appointed Commissioner of Police for Yobe State, CP Emmanuel Ado, officially assumed duty on Thursday, March 27, at the State Police Headquarters in Damaturu.

Ado, a native of Niger State, was among 38 commissioners recently deployed to various commands nationwide. Upon arrival, he was given a guard of honor before addressing officers on his priorities.

He emphasized tackling security challenges and improving personnel welfare to boost morale, pledging to build on his predecessor’s achievements. Ado reaffirmed his commitment to community policing, transparency, and accountability, aligning with the vision of Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun.

He also vowed to enhance intelligence-driven policing, strengthen partnerships with security agencies, and uphold professionalism and human rights. Urging officers to work collectively, he expressed confidence in fostering a safer and more secure Yobe State.
