Lagos Installs Speed Cameras, Enforces N50,000 Fine for Violators
The Lagos State government, in partnership with Huawei Technologies, has deployed four new Intelligent Transport System sites to monitor speeding and traffic violations. Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, announced that violators will receive SMS notifications, with fines set at N50,000 for speeding and N20,000 for running red lights. The initiative aims to enhance road safety and reduce accidents.
