Kogi Govt Clears N98.8bn Debt in 15 Months — Commissioner

Kogi State has cleared N98.8 billion in inherited debt within 15 months, Commissioner for Finance Ashiru Idris announced Monday. The debts include a N50 billion bailout fund from the Idris Wada administration.

Idris credited improved internal revenue for the achievement. The government also announced key infrastructure upgrades and the launch of a Climate Change Agency.
