How will IPOB react to Asari Dokubo’s declaration of Biafra Government?

We have said it time without number that anybody can form any group one likes and use it to pursue the Biafra cause. We are not against any group genuinely fighting for Biafra restoration. IPOB and its indefatigable leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu have been in the forefront of this struggle for our freedom, and nobody can controvert that. Formation of any pro-Biafra group is no threat to IPOB. Rather, the coming on board of more pro-groups makes the burden of IPOB lighter. When Biafra comes eventually, the joy of the new nation will surpass whatever sacrifice made by any group.
Is Nnamdi Kanu still relevant in the push to actualise Biafra, going by Asari’s declaration?
Use your tongue and count your teeth, asking whether our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is still relevant is like asking if Nigeria is in Africa. Even you know that there is no Biafra without IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu. No matter whatever anybody forms or claims, the Biafra story cannot be complete without Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB. The both are like the engine and tyres of a vehicle without which there will be no movement despite the functions of other parts of the vehicle.
What is the attitude of Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB towards people like Asari Dokubo and Uche Mefor who seem to work against Kanu’s secession ideology?
Again we must caution those peddling this secessionist narrative that they are poor students of history. For the umpteenth time, Biafra is not seceding from Nigeria because Biafra existed before even Britain that created Nigeria. How can any sensible person argue that Biafra seceded or seceding from a Nigeria that a majority of Nigeria are older than? We IPOB are not in the habit of responding to people we consider irrelevant in the pursuit for Biafra freedom. Biafrans are watching and observing all actors and when the chips are down it’s up to the people to decide what to do with these individuals. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB have nothing personal with these individuals you just mentioned.
What is the take of IPOB on the soaring rate of banditary and abduction for ransome in Nigeria?
Banditary has become a gold mine for some so-called Northern leaders. Its now another oil well for greedy, unpatriotic and evil minded beings masquerading as leaders. They are feeding fat with blood money. Bandits are now working together with some Government officials to steal public funds in the name of ransome. Banditary and kidnapping will remain a lucrative business in Nigeria for as long as Government and self acclaimed religious clerics keep negotiating with them. Don’t you think that anyone advocating amnesty for murderous vampires like Fulani bandits is their grandmaster? If Nigeria were to be a normal country where there is sanity and decency all those people championing for amnesty for the killer bandits would have been arrested and put on trial. Why do you think we call Nigeria a zoo? In a zoo both the leaders and the led hardly reason like humans.
Just recently the President gave a shoot-at-sight order against anyone carrying AK-47. What do you make of this move?
That’s only a paper tiger. It wasn’t meant for everybody. We know who they have in mind. It’s only the draft that will think that such order is meant for Fulani bandits and killer herdsmen carrying out the Fulani agenda. If a serving Governor can boldly come out to defend the carrying of guns by Fulani herdsmen, how do you ever think any of them is going to be arrested when their kits and kin are the ones going to enforce the order?
How then do you think the rising cases of kidnapping for ransome and banditary can be curbed?
This nonsense has continued to surge because Nigerians are not asking the right questions. Any day Nigerians get up and demand to know why they have a President who rather chooses to talk to them through a press statement by Media Aides or the Presidency instead of talking to them live, there will be a change. Any day Nigerians begin to ask why the Authorities have not been courageous enough to declare killer herdsmen terrorists but quick to proscribe IPOB that is peacefully agitating for freedom.
Change will come any day Nigerians begin to ask the whereabouts of their First Lady and why she will choose to be away for months without explanations. There will be change when greedy politicians stop putting their selfish interest above the collective interest of the people. Banditary will stop any day your Leaders stop pampering bandits and start treating them as terrorists that they are. Banditary will stop any day the real bandits in places of Authority are unmasked! Otherwise, what you see now will be a child’s play to what is to come.
Should the current wave of banditary in the North extend to South East and South South, how would you tackle it?
If the Fulani bring their madness to Biafraland IPOB and the Eastern Security Network, ESN, will show the stuff we are made of. We will display our own insanity. We are prepared and waiting for any nonsense from them.
