God! Please, Wipe Away The Tears Of Asaa Family’, As Love Asaa Goes Home

The remains of Late Love Cherechukwu Asaa, VP, Nee Onoja were interred in her husband’s country home, Uruogbo village, Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka Local Government Area Anambra State.

Consoling the family, the Archbishop Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Bishop Anglican Diocese of Awka, Most Reverend Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim PhD prayed God to wipe the tears of the families of Asaa in Enugwu-Ukwu and Onoja in Enugu-Ezike, even as he prayed the congregation to continue to pray for Ven Asaa family.

He described late Love as someone who did his assignment very well ,even as he encouraged Ven Asaa Samuel Asaa to take solace in the Lord and grow in God’s strength always.

The Archbishop commended Ven Asaa for his steadfastness in the service of God at Awba Ofemmili,describing the death of Love Asaa as painful because she was a mother.

Archbishop Ibezim informed that: ‘ Mother’s death is very painful, but a wake up call for everyone’. He informed further that life is a journey no one knows when it’s engine shall knock down in death.

At the burial service at Immanuel Anglican Church, Enugwu-Ukwu, people from all walks of life atredend including clergy and wives from various dioceses but particularly Awka Diocese and beyond, as well as Amufe Village,Enugu-Ezike, Enugu state and other communities and cities Late Love worked with her husband.

Late Love, aged 55 was described as a wonderful child of God and a delight to be with while alive.

According to Ven Prof Geoffrey Molokwu, an Associate Prof of Theology,late Love sacrificed her life for Jesus Christ as she made Jesus Christ her friend while alive. He said Love stood for the right things.

Ven Prof Molokwu said he avoided giving Love testimonies,even as he challenged Christians to examine their lives before it’s too late.

He insisted Christians must make Jesus Christ their Lord and Saviour, even as he reminded that priests and their wives are weak and needed prayers to succeed in the ministry.

He pointed out that every priest has a weak point and may be exploited by the congregation to destroy the ministry of the priest, which according to him, ought not be. He encouraged congregation to support their clergy and wives to succeed.

In his appreciation, Ven Samuel Asaa appreciated the Archbishop, and Bishop of Awka, Most Reverend Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim PhD and wife who is also the President Mother’s Union, Women’s Guild and Girls Guild, Young wives association,
Province of the Niger and diocese of Awka Dr. Mrs. Martha Chioma Ibezim ,the traditional ruler of Awba Awba Ofemmili, His Royal Highness Igwe Maduagwuna Ezekwesili among others for coming to share in his grief, describing his late wife as a saint in human nature.

Late Love was a Vice President Mother’s Union, Women’s Guild and Girls Guild and Young wives association in the Diocese of Awka, Anglican Communion.
