Flood Hits 150 Communities in Cross River — Gov Otu

Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu says at least 150 communities are battling flood devastation, with widespread damage to homes, farmlands, and infrastructure.
Speaking at a flood preparedness campaign in Calabar, Otu, represented by SSG Prof. Anthony Owan-Enoh, warned that the state faces 12 active disaster threats and pledged support for community-level response through CRSEMA.
NEMA, citing weather forecasts, warned of heavy rains and potential flooding, urging proactive measures across the state.
