FIRS Unveils New SOP to Standardize Tax Services Nationwide

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has introduced a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to streamline tax processes and eliminate inconsistencies across its 300+ offices.

The SOP aims to enhance transparency, improve taxpayer experience, and support digital transformation. FIRS Chairman Zacch Adedeji said the initiative reflects the agency’s commitment to service, consistency, and national development.
