FG to Collaborate with Bloomberg for Nigeria’s Global Rebranding

The Nigerian government is set to partner with Bloomberg to enhance the country’s global image and attract foreign investment. In a statement released on Thursday via its official X handle, the Federal Ministry of Finance revealed that the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI) will lead a two-year initiative aimed at rebranding Nigeria’s global perception. “The Federal Government, through MOFI, is poised to collaborate with Bloomberg on a two-year project designed to improve Nigeria’s image worldwide and boost foreign investment,” the statement read. During a meeting with Finance Minister Wale Edun, Bloomberg’s Global Director, Nicole Keefe, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to reshaping Nigeria’s narrative and highlighting its economic potential. “Bloomberg plans to use its extensive media network to showcase Nigeria’s achievements and opportunities, addressing investor concerns stemming from outdated or negative views,” the statement further explained. Armstrong Takang, CEO of MOFI, added that the partnership would focus on promoting key government initiatives, such as the Real Estate Investment Fund and gas pipeline projects, to highlight Nigeria’s progress in vital sectors.
