Chief Uzor A Uzor who spoke on behalf of the Elders’ s Forum mentioned Ezenwankwo’s recent motion on the floor of the House about the menace of erosion in Anambra State, especially the communities in his constituency, his concern and financial intervention during the inferno at Ochanja market in Onitsha as well as his motion which made the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to despatch relief materials to the victims among other bills and motions he has sponsored in his few months in the House.
Chief Uzor said that it was after their critical analysis of Ezenwankwo’s performance they unanimously agreed to call him to throw his hat into the ring for the 2021 Anambra State Governorship election .
He said “we are convinced he will bring his experience as the formal President General of Anambra traders, when he led them to promise Land, building a befitting Secretariat for the traders at Modebe Ave., Onitsha. He fostered unity among traders during his reign , where option A4 was adopted as a model for conducting elections in the markets. He has so far empowered over 2, 000 youths and women, including those he gave scholarship”.
Consequently, said the Chairman of the Elders’ Forum that having followed Chief Nwankwo”s political career, has decided to urge him to contest the coming election.
