Ex-Beauty Queen Ezinne Akudo Breaks Silence on Rumoured Marriage to Emmanuel Emenike

Former Miss Nigeria and lawyer, Ezinne Akudo, has finally addressed the longstanding rumour that she was once married to former Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike.

In a recent interview that has since gone viral, the 2013 beauty queen dismissed the claim as completely false.

Ezinne clarified that she was never married to Emenike and has never even met him in person.

“I’ve actually never addressed that. But I’ve never been married,” she began.

According to her, the rumour likely stemmed from her attendance at Emenike’s wedding years ago, as his wife happened to be someone she knew.

However, she emphasized that she had no personal relationship with the footballer.

“No, you’re joking. That’s why I said this answer will shock you. The person in question, I have never met in my life. I’ve seen him because I attended his wedding — his wife was someone I knew,” she said.

The rumour, which has resurfaced several times over the years across blogs and social media platforms, claimed that Emenike divorced a former Miss Nigeria before marrying his current wife, beauty queen Iheoma Nnadi.

Ezinne revealed that she initially laughed off the story, thinking it would fade away, but was surprised by how deeply it stuck in public discourse.

“It’s gone on for like years now… The first time the story came out, I thought it was a joke. But then it kept popping up every few years. I never knew that the story would stick the way it did. If you Google it, it’s there — like some confirmed truth. But I’ve never been married, never been divorced, and I’ve never met the person in question. I fear who no fear media,” she added.
