EFCC Arrests 21 for Cyber Fraud, Seizes Luxury Items in Bauchi

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 21 suspected internet fraudsters in Bauchi State.
The arrests were made by the commission’s Gombe Zonal Directorate on Saturday, March 15, 2025, following credible intelligence on the suspects’ alleged cybercrime activities.
According to an EFCC statement on Monday via X, the operation took place at Kaure New Government Reservation Area and Awala, Maiduguri Road, Bauchi.
Recovered items included luxury vehicles such as a BMW and a Toyota Camry, along with three PlayStation 5 consoles, 30 high-end smartphones, a flat-screen television, six Point-of-Sale (POS) machines, four iPads, and five laptops.
The EFCC confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be charged in court upon completion.
