Easter Celebration: APGA Executives rejoice as Women Leaders rate Ide Umuawulu’s chances high

It was celebration galore at the residence of High Chief Dr Azubuike Ekweozor, Aspirant House of Representatives Awka North and South Federal constituency under All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, this evening when members of Ide Umuawulu campaign organization, Ward Executives, and local government executives, as well as some stakeholders of APGA, gathered to merry with the Aspirant in the spirit of Easter.
This was coming as APGA women Leaders rate the chances of High Dr Ekweozor high at the primary coming up in May.
They said his humane Spirit and service to humanity under all circumstances is a sure bet that he stands out to get Awka North and South House of Representatives ticket.
These are. the views of Awka North women leader and Amansea Princess, Hon Mrs Ngozi Ikeyinwa and Awka South woman leader, Hon Mrs Patricia N Molokwu.




Earlier, Rev Fr Benjamin Obika, Parish Priest St Joseph’s Catholic Church Umuawalu reiterated his stand that Ide Umuawulu is the best among the Aspirants hence APGA delegates should ensure he emerges as their candidate to enable the party to win the general election.
He appealed to delegates not to mortgage their consciences since delegates’ Election is not a bazaar sale.
He said: “We should refer by voting wisely, to bring sanity back to society.
The traditional ruler of Umuawulu, Igwe Joel Egwuonwu appealed to party members to elect High Chief Dr Ekweozor because he needs no introduction in the entire Awka North and South Federal constituency.
In his remarks, the Ide Umuawulu Campaign Organization, Prince Chinedu Okafor, reminded us that Dr Ekweozor has been steadfast with his charity life and reiterated the need for delegates to send him to the House of Representatives for quality representation.
The Aspirant in his thank you message to all and sundry who honoured his invitation to his residence, thanked the APGA members for their solidarity and love.
He reminded APGA members that his intentions to contest weren’t selfish but to make an impactful representation.
Ide Umuawulu informed that his coming out is to correct an impression and to tell people that all can be achieved if the right person is on that green Chambers.
He appealed for a chance to make a significant difference, pledging that he would
engage all his constituents in a town hall meeting regularly to assess his performance.
He reminded that anything he gives to them is from his hard-earned efforts because he hasn’t served any government.
An Awka North Indigene Matthew Ekwoanya, aka M C Ichoku, who is also the Presenter Oganiru Awka North in Radio Nigeria, Purity Fm Mgbakwu informed that if the position is something Awka North should give to him, there would be no hesitation to hand him over the ticket.
Awka South Chairman, Chikodili Nnonyelu, said Ide has been so supportive of APGA even before his intention to contest.
Coordinator Ide Campaign Organization Awka South, Prince Ikechukwu Ndigwe specifically appealed to delegates to ensure there would be no mistake of not voting for Ide Umuawulu during the delegate’s Election.
In his closing remarks, the ward Chairman, Joseph Nwafor appealed for support from everybody to ensure he gets the ticket.
The high point of the event was sharing of bags of rice, and a cartoon of Tomatoes with all the ward Chairman, secretaries, youth leaders, and women leaders of Awka North and South.
