Government Ekpemupolo also known as Tompolo has recently been in the media. According to reports which are still unconfirmed, after years of embracing amnesty and kept away from the public space, Tompolo was spotted during the “End SARS” protest once more.

People believe he’s coming out to also lend his voice against the bad governance we are experiencing in Nigeria. Knowing Tompolo, who’s a dreaded commander of the Movement for Emancipation of the Niger Delta before the group embraced amnesty, we know is sighting must mean something.

However, what has continue to bother me is the rumor that Tompolo has a warship. I mean, not a boat, a warship. Reports even have it that even Nigeria doesn’t have up to three warships. It’s more interesting that’s some are even claiming that he has more than one warship.

I know Tompolo is rich from his oil bunkering thing but is he richer than Nigeria? How much does a warship cost?

According to the congressional budget of the United States Navy, a standard 308-warship cost a sum of $566 billion. Also, the Iowa battleship built between 1940 and 1944 is estimated at $100 billion.

Many more navy around the world also estimate the cost of warships in this range.
