Forthcoming Anambra Governorship election tough to predicts-Emeka Okelo Ex PG Abacha town.
Eche Nwaobasi reporting from Awka.
Chief Emeka Okelo a former president general of Abacha community Idemili North,LGA Anambra State and a Lagos based business mogul has noted that the forth coming November 2025 Anambra State governorship election will be tough to predict on which party will triumph but that if the incumbent Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo can sustain his current development tempo in the state especially on security maintenance will emerge victorious if he decides to come back for a second tenure in office.
Giving this assessment while speaking to newsmen in Awka yesterday, Okelo who brought peace and tranquility as well as several developmental projects to his community during his tenure as president general noted that the current successes recorded by the recently formed Udo ga adi security outfit which is reducing insecurity in every part of anambra state has added a new impetus to the rating of Gov. Soludo by people of the state for him to have an edge over other governorship aspirants from other parties.
While praising Gov. Soludo on his achievements so far in his three years in office, he beckoned on him to make sure the outfit was not abused by its operators by ensuring that their activities are monitored to avoid abuse by operators of the outfit. He said that other areas Gov. Soludo need to be strengthened are his not too good relationship with state civil servants as well as his relationship with some key influential religious leaders and traditional rulers adding that if he can improve on these grey areas, he will easily emerge by sweeping twenty one over twenty ones like his predecessor Ex Gov. Willie Obiano did during his second term tenure.
Commenting on the recent surprise defection of Chief Val. Ozigbo a former Governorship candidate of P.D.P during the last Governorship election in Anambra State from labour party to APC, Ex PG Okelo described such move as political harakiri noting that the move has weakened the political career of Val. Ozigbo just as he stated that every average Anambra indigene had no regard for APC, and wondered why a promising young politician like Chief Val. Ozigbo will decide to mar his promising political career by poor political calculation.
