Anambra Women Affairs Commissioner Obinabo Cautions Students Against Social Media Influence

The Deputy Leader and Counselor representing Ichida Ward Two in Anaocha Local government area, Honourable Chinweogo Uba in collaboration with Anambra State Ministry of Education has organized a school debate competition tagged “Adauba secondary schools Debate” held at Ezeokpu Civic Center, Ichida.
The school debate competition with the topic “Social Media Should Be Held Accountable for Juvenile delinquency influenced by their contents” featured Community secondary school opposing the motion while Saint Augustine’s secondary school proposed the motion.
In her remarks, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo advised the students to shun Social Media influence and focus more on their studies and called on parents to help their children by censoring and monitoring their use of cell phone.
In separate interviews, the convener of the debate, Honourable Uba and the Anambra State Debate co-ordinator, Mrs Amaka Anaekwe commended the students for their boldness and outstanding performances despite their being in the rural areas.
