Anambra Health Commissioner, Afam Obidike Receives Active Services & Excellent Leadership Award , As Solution Health Movement Kicks Off Campaign

The commissioner for health Anambra state has te-affirmed that his ministry will continue to give the supervisors for health in the Local Government areas, opportunity to be part of primary healthcare services delivery in the state.

The commissioner disclosed this when he received members of the Local Government Supervisors’ Forum who paid him a courtesy visit at Jerome Udoji Secretariat, Awka.

He described the Supervisors as hard-working and highly indispensable in grass-roots healthcare services delivery, adding that the supervisors will be instrumental to achieving positive results in the primary healthcare services delivery in the Local Government areas of the state, and emphasized that he will continue to carry them along in the primary healthcare services delivery.

Hon. Obidike also assured the supervisors that his ministry will introduce various health projects that will enable them contribute to healthcare development in the state, and enjoined the supervisors to be proactive in their duties.

Earlier in his speech, Hon.Frank Ajezu, the supervisor for health,Awka south who stood in for the forum chairman, said that, said they were at the Secretariat to show appreciation and acknowledge the giant strides the commissioner recorded in the healthcare sector, describing his achievement as unprecedented, and which has placed him in the records books of history

In their own separate speeches Hon.Ikechukwu Jonn (Lion) the committee chairman, and Hon. Kene Ezejelue praised the transformation the governor, prof.Chukwuma Soludo , and his wife, have brought to my health sector, and assured the commissioner of their readiness to work assiduously for the realization of the Governor ‘s second term bid.

According to them, the supervisors will use their Support group, known as “Solution Health Movement’ to be inaugurated very soon to work behind the commissioner for the actualization of Mr. Governor ‘s second term.

In a vote of thanks the Secretary of the supervisors’forum Hon.Joy Orah, expressed her unreserved appreciation to the Commissioner for his unwaivering efforts for the upliftment of the health facilities in the local Government Areas, and equally appealed to him to do more to assist them.

The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of an award of ” Active Services & Excellent Leadership to the Commissioner by the Supervisors for health in the 21 Local Government of the state.
