Anambra: CWO Sacred Heart Odoakpu Honours Orji , 29 Others, As It Celebrates Cultural Fiesta, Coronation Of Patron, Others

The Catholic Women Organization, CWO, Sacred Heart Parish, Odoakpu, Onitsha South Local Government Area on 18th May, honoured the Mayor of the area, Hon Chief Emeka Orji in recognition of his selfless service in the vineyard of God and his goodwill to humanity.
The Mayor after the presentation of the award to him by the Member representing Onitsha South 11 in the State House of Assembly, Hon.Jude Umennajiego at the church premises described the award as a task which would spur him to do more.
He thanked mothers for organizing such event, emphasized on the roles of mothers in the families and the society at large, pledged for his support to them.
In an interview with the CWO president of the parish, Lady Nnenne Ndubuizu, she stated that the Mayor has done notable projects in the area both for God and humanity, stating that all those honoured alongside with him were those who have contributed in one way or the other for the service God and humanity.
She disclosed that the event of the day was the celebration of cultural fiesta cum installation of Patron and Patronesses, Ambassadors of Christ, Daughters of Mary, Ezinne and others.
The CWO Secretary, Mrs Mba Obiageli in her welcome address, appealed for a coaster bus,financial assistance to pay up their dues at Onitsha Archdiocese this year, also need a mass bus, musical instruments and a generator, thanked Lady Ndubuizu for all her effort to see that all the women in the parish are happy by removing all the payments from them.
In their achievements, she stated that they have 2 canopies, two in one, built cooling boxes, paid all the outstanding payments in Archdiocese upon the huge amount of the money, million plus and that of their parish, introduction of monthly birthday celebration and all the mothers are new man servers who performed wonderful during mothers Sunday service.
