ANAMBRA AIRPORT IS IN THE FOREFRONT OF ACCESSIBILITY FOR DISABILITY COMMUNITY

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of Disability Rights Commission (DRC) , Anambra state, Barr. Chukwuka Ezewuzie has said that Anambra State International Cargo and Passenger Airport is in the forefront of Accessibility features .
Ezewuzie, stated this after a Preview of Accessibility Features visit to Anambra State International Passenger and Cargo Airport with Disability community in the state.
The inspection was a promise fullfiled from Governer Wille Obiano that the Airport will be accessible to all.
His words : ‘Akpokuo Dike Is Ekwueme (Promise keeping Governor). He said that after completion of the Anambra State International Cargo and passenger Airport that he will call persons with Disability to come and see that he has you people in mind. That he cannot do anything without putting your welfare in everything he does.
‘Today , the Airport is completed with accessibility features without borrowing.
‘I think you can agree with me that he has continued to demonstrate his unwavering commitment to, and passion for the welfare of the persons with Disability.
‘His commitment to better the life of persons with Disabilities is not in doubt.
‘This airport is a legacy the future generation will be proud of. He does not do anything without Persons with Disability community. He lives no stone behind. That is why he appointed one of us a member of airport committee to make sure the terminal route has the accessibility standard required in all airport around the world
I have traveled around the world, up to twenty one countries ,I have been to about fifty airports and I can tell you Anambra is in forefront of accessibility features, what are they? Avio-Bridge ,Doors etc. We are liasing with our partners in the United States of America and around the world to ensure that all are in place.
He can assure you that every accessibility requirements, every standard will be made in accordance with the United Nations standard. Everything is with compliance with the Anambra State rights law signed by Governor Willie Obiano.
And as you are aware he has established Disability Rights commission which will… the provision of this Disability Right law. He is completing his term of office ” That before he will live Anambra state, People will come to Anambra state to emulate how to take care of persons with Disabilities and it is happening. God has given us a patriotic man who loves his people
His partying with the persons with Disability do not start the day he became Governor rather it was the demonstration of human Nature.. He started it even before he knew he will be governor.
He has gone through many sabotage,from different places, fight against his interest and commitment to live an ending legacy for the people of Anambra State but he is a rugged fighter, he does not give up
Today he has won .
Meanwhile ,As I was coming to the airport this morning ,someone told me on the way that they have cancelled the flight .I didn’t believe him and got to the counter.Immediatly I entered I was asked ” Are you traveling? I said yes. Go and check in. So here I am, I have landed.
Governor Wille Obiano who was represented by Commissioner for Works, Hon Marcel Oguejiofor said ” You are all welcome. Anytime any of you have anything to do here we will give you special attention. All these facilities are for you. God has answered all your prayers by making Soludo to win. Thanks for supporting the election.
However, Ugochukwu Okeke, Executive Assistant to the governor on Persons with Disability , in his remarks said ” I thank Governor Willie Obiano for providing these for the people of Anambra State, we have been hearing about this airport in the Radio, Television ,we are here today and we have confirmed it that what we are hearing is true”.
