Anambra Advertising Agency MD, Emecheta bows out after 8 years
The Commissioner for Information in Anambra, Mr Paul Nwosu, says the government will build on the achievements of the Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ANSAA) for better service delivery and environment.
Nwosu gave the commendation when Chief Jude Emecheta, the Managing Director of ANSAA, handed over to Nwosu after eight years of being in charge ANSAA in Awka on Thursday.
According to Nwosu, Emecheta is one of the founding fathers of ANSAA and he made it the second most competitive government owned advertising agency in Nigeria behind Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency.
“ Emecheta is a core Communication, Advertising and Public Relations professional who helped the state government to develop and drive the outdoor advertising sector to the best of his ability and the good of the state.”
The commissioner will supervise the agency’s activities pending the appointment of a substantive Managing Director.
He thanked Emecheta for his meritorious service and promised that the Anambra government would do all that was necessary to make the agency more effective, efficient and result oriented.
He assured that he would work harmoniously with the staff and also improve their welfare.
In his remark, Emecheta thanked former Governor Willie Obiano for finding him worthy to serve and allowing him to drive the agency for eight years.
Emecheta said that his administration was able to use ANSAA to sanitise the Anambra landscape and also make the outdoor signage sphere a good source of revenue of which, if optimally exploited, would continue to generate revenue fo the government.
He called on the staff of the ANSAA to support the new management and urged Anambra residents to stand behind Governor Chukwuma Soludo in his determination to make the state secure and prosperous. (NAN)
