Anambra 2021: PDP chieftain, Oraeki joins APGA with followers

Ahead of 2021 Anambra State governorship election, a chieftain of People Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Frank Obiekwe Oraeki has decamped to All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) with thousands of his followers.Oraeki who was the former president general of Nri town in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra state said he joined APGA to support the party in the state.
He said he left PDP to join APGA because the party and All Progressive Congress APC have failed the country and the only party left for the country was APGA.
According to him, all the things he has been doing for PDP over the years, he will now be doing for APGA, saying that with his presence in APGA no other party can win any election in Aniocha Local Government Area.
He called for unity among party members in order to consolidate and improve on the progress APGA made over the years.
” I humbly stand here before you to join APGA with all my heart. Nobody forced me into APGA. I see APGA as our own party and it is great movement in the state. All hands must on deck to take the party higher on the county. All I have been doing for PDP winning in the local government ,I will be doing them now for APGA” he said.Welcoming Oraeki into the party, the APGA presidential aspirant, Prof. Peter Umeadi commended him for joining the party and described him as a big catch for the party. According to him, Oraeki joining APGA was a big plus given his political records in the state over the years.
The honourable member representing Aniocha state constituency at the Anambra state House of Assembly Mr. Ejike Okechukwu said that chief Oraeki joining APGA was a real plus for the party, describing him as a big fish. According to him, Oraeki joining APGA means that there is no opposition again in the area.
