Abia Pays ₦3.5bn Counterpart Fund for Rural Roads, Agro Hubs

Abia State has paid ₦3.5 billion as counterpart funding for rural road upgrades and agro logistics hubs in 10 LGAs under the RAAMP project. Commissioner Okey Kanu said the World Bank-backed initiative will soon commence.

Governor Alex Otti also signed 18 new executive bills into law, bringing the total to 30, aimed at institutionalizing reforms. Activities marking Otti’s two-year anniversary include project commissioning, Children’s Day events, and a public lecture.
