Ezeonwuka, Nnabuife others lauds Anambra Airport project

…Our gods don’ t harbour criminals, Ogilisi Igbo cautions gunmen

The Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area and Chairman of Anambra state chapter of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, Barr Ralph Asha Nnabuife, the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA BOT member, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka and other stakeholders have scored Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State high for delivering his campaign promises including ensuring that Anambra International Cargo Airport was ready for commissioning come April 30, 2021.

Also, the Ogilisi of Igbo land, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka has warned Igbo youths to steer clear of criminal tendencies as the gods Igbo land do not harbour criminals as it were.

He said checking from records, all those involved in violent or serious crimes, such as armed robbery, kidnapping and assassination were usually exposed by the Igbo deity, a strong indication that our gods abhor such crimes.

Speaking to newsmen yesterday at Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Center, Awka Anambra state, during the launching of a book titled: “Governor Willie Obiano 7 years of robust leadership”, co-authored by Dr. Uche Nwora, Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS and a senior staff of the station, Dr. Emeka Arinze, Ezeonwuka stated that because the deity does not condone criminalities, it would not allow any one shedding blood to go scot free. He enjoined them not to be part of the violence, killings and wanton attacks on security agents.

He commended Governor Obiano for providing adequate security in the state and at the same time carrying out legacy projects such as the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport at Umueri which is nearing completion, among others.

Moreover, Barr Asha Nnabuife and the President-General of Nkpor Development Union, NDU, Chief Emeka Mbagha thanked Obiano for his laudable achievements which has put his name into the Guinness books of record.

“The airport project is so monumental. Infact, one of the days I asked His Excellency how can he raise money for such a gigantic project knowing the economic situation of the country, He said God will assist him. Today it is becoming a reality”, said Nnabuife.

“Apart from the Anambra Cargo airport which will outshine the nearby airports from neighboring States due to Onitsha main market and other major international markets in Anambra, another unique achievements of Obiano’s administration was the choose your project per community initiative. It was second to none bringing government’s presence to every community in Anambra”, said Mbagha.

Igwe Semion Chidubem of Umumbo Aghamelum Local Government and Rev. Dr. Mathew Akhigbe from Edo State in their separate speeches also lauded Obiano for saying that he would like the next Governor of the state to work harder than himself, in line with an Igbo adage which states that: “I pray that my son will become bigger than myself”.

They scored Obiano high saying that he did not let down Umu Omambala and Ndi Anambra in general.
