AWKA GRAND COMMANDERY HOLDS HER END/BEGINNING OF TENURE THANKSGIVING MASS

On Saturday, 22nd January 2022, Awka Grand Commandery had her Thanksgiving Mass to appreciate God for His Blessings and Guidance to the Grand Commandery which led to the successful end of the tenure of past Officers and prompt election of the new Officers.

The Eucharistic Celebration (mass) led by the new Grand Spiritual Director, Very Rev. Fr. Evaristus Ifeanacho was concelebrated with nine other Spiritual Advisers, including Very Rev Fr. (Barr.) Tony Ezeoke, the Grand’s past Spiritual Director.

The theme of the Homily was “He was beside himself” as Jesus being so engrossed in His mission, had no time to eat.

We were encouraged by the Preacher to do so doing by being committed to our assignments and responsibilities as Officers of the Order.


Other side attractions include a brief interaction of the Board members with the New Grand President Brig. Gen. Jonathan Ezeuchu and the Grand Respected President, Noble Lady Loyice Onyali, as both Brothers and Sisters were involved in the Thanksgiving Mass.

The past GP used the opportunity also to appreciate his Officers and other Commanderies who performed most creditably. A moderate entertainment brought the ceremony to an end.
