Okonjo-Iweala and the dilemma of American non-recognition.

Why is America throwing spanner in the works by refusing to recognize Ngozi? This politics of non-recognition or mis-recognition under the Trump administration is turning into a national embarrassment.
Everything about being a Nigerian in the eyes of one superhero American now amounts to a deprivation. Nigerians are caught in a web of dangerous castigation by Trump who believes that Nigeria is a ‘shithole’. This is inspite of an overwhelming goodwill he (Trump) enjoys from a cross section of ethnic jingoists in Nigeria.
Trump’s crusaders in Nigeria are ignorantly embroiled in a futile task because their entire being is cast inside a bin of non-recognition. When your entire nation is not recognized, it means that nothing that emerges from that nation, no matter how ingenious, can be recognized, be that Ngozi or Mgbeke.
The permanent switching of Nigeria’s mode into non-recognition by America is a problem. It recently resulted in a ban which prevents Nigerian citizens from relocating to the United States. It is so bad that even credit cards are affected. Some credit cards that has Nigerian ancestry are automatically demobilized by the American technological system. Once an American computer or internet identifies a certain card from Nigeria, it rejects it. Technology has been configured to cast Nigeria into non-recognition mode.
Indeed, inside American non-recognition mode there are wailings and gnashing of teeth. I will personally reset the crashed brains of Trump’s zealots in Nigeria if the American non-recognition mode costs Ngozi her deserved place in WTO. America take note.
