ANAMBRA TAKES ACTION AGAINST GENDER-BASED DISINHERITANCE

The Anambra State Government is moving to prosecute those who deny women and girls their right to inherit property on the basis of their gender.

The Attorney General, Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN, has directed the Police to investigate reported cases and forward case files for prosecution under the state’s Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Law.

Every citizen deserves equal protection under the law.
