Fire disaster has remained one of the major challenges facing Nnewi, resulting in the loss of goods and properties worth billions of naira and affecting families and businesses.

In a move to address the challenge, the Executive Mayor of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Hon. Echezona Anazodo, has procured a modern, fully equipped fire truck for the local government area, complete with trained fire personnel.

With the intervention, Nnewi North has become the first local government area in Anambra State to own and operate its own functional fire truck.

The development is aimed at improving emergency response to fire incidents and protecting lives, businesses and property in the area.
