Ozu Village Condemns Attack On Soludo’s Aide, Requests Security Presence In Ndiukwuenu

The leadership of Ozu Village, Ndiukwuenu Community in Orumba North Local Government Area, has made a passionate appeal to the Anambra State Government and security agencies to mount security checkpoints along the Amansea–Ndiukwuenu–Okpeze–Awa Road.

They made the appeal during a press briefing held in the community following the recent attack on the Chief of Staff to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Dr. Ben Nwankwo, which led to the death of two policemen and two civilians.

Speaking to newsmen, the leader of the Ozu Village Executive, Chief Onyekachukwu Onwurah, expressed dismay over the attack that occurred along the Ndiukwuenu axis of the road and called on the government to strengthen security on the route.

Chief Onwurah maintained that there are no kidnappers’ dens in Ozu Village and called on members of the public, especially investors, to go about their legitimate activities without fear and not be discouraged by the incident.

He also appealed for the establishment of a police station in the community and promised that the community would provide every necessary support to ensure the security of lives and property.

The Head of Security, Ozu Ndiukwuenu, Chief Chike Nwankwo, and the Executive Secretary of the village, Chief Matthew Nwankwo, also appealed for sophisticated security gadgets to help their local security architecture stay ahead of criminal elements.
