Gov. Soludo Declares End To Anambra Autonomous Community Disputes Following Supreme Court Ruling

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has declared that the long-standing challenges surrounding autonomous communities in the state have been effectively resolved.

Governor Soludo made this announcement during a mass celebration held in honor of his Aide-de-Camp (ADC), DSP Tony Amadi at the Light House in Awka.

Addressing the gathering, the Governor attributed the resolution of these issues to a recent landmark judgement delivered by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

For years, the status and administration of autonomous communities in Anambra have been a subject of intense debate, leading to various administrative and traditional leadership disputes across the state.

By referencing the apex court’s ruling, the Governor revealed that the legal and administrative framework is now settled, clearing the path for a new era of stability in community governance across the state.

The declaration comes as part of the state government’s broader efforts to streamline local administration and ensure that traditional institutions align with the legal standards established by the judiciary.

While referencing Isuofia, his community whoch had been bedeviled by the same issue, Governor Soludo indicated that this finality provides the necessary clarity for the government to move forward with its development agenda at the grassroots level.
