Tension In NDC Over Awka-South 11 Primaries Result, As Returning Officer Threatens To Sue Any Fake Results Without Obue Chinedu Raymond As Winner

Returning Officer, Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Awka South LG Primaries has threatened to take legal actions against the party if his name is appendaged in any fake results against the winner, Evangelist Chinedu Raymond Obue Nwachinemelu who won the primaries he supervised as the Returning Officer.

Authentic Result of Awka South Constituency II Primaries

It has come to my attention that a result for Awka South Constituency II (Obizi) which I did not sign has been circulated in place of the authentic result. I wish to categorically state that such a document is false, fraudulent, and does not emanate from me.

I was the duly appointed Returning Officer for the NDC Awka South Local Government Primaries held on 29th May, 2026, at Umuzocha Hall, Awka. The primaries for the Presidential, Senate, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly seats were all conducted on that day under my supervision. The exercise was free, fair, and transparent, with Mrs. Ozuagwu Edith Chinyere, a representative of INEC, present to witness and observe the process.

For Awka South Constituency II House of Assembly, the authentic result is as follows:

• Chinedu Raymond Obue – 625 votes
• Sam Chuks Okpanduka – 73 votes

This result was duly signed by me as Returning Officer and represents the true will of the delegates and party members.

As an academic and one who values integrity, I will not sit and watch injustice perpetrated with my name. Any result not bearing the figures above and not affirming Chinedu Raymond Obue as the winner is fake, fraudulent, and must be disregarded by the party. I will take legal action against any aspirant or individual who forges my signature or associates me with documents I did not sign.

The leadership of the NDC must uphold the authentic result and resist any attempt to compromise the wishes of the people. To do otherwise will not only destroy confidence in the party but also undermine our collective mission to salvage Nigeria from bad governance.
