Life Care Rehabilitation And Safety Organization Flags Off Health, Social Protection Programme In Awka
A non-governmental organization, Life Care Rehabilitation and Safety Organization, has flagged off a health and social protection programme on physical, physiological and psychological health, as well as safety and long-life management in Awka.
Speaking during the exercise, the founder of the NGO, Dr. Mmasinachi Umeh, who is a Clinical Psychologist, said that they are out to create awareness on the need for people to take good care of their lives by being conscious of their psychological, mental, social and physiological health, adding that not every sickness can be cured with drugs.
Dr. Umeh, who said that they will check both heart and sugar levels during the programme, emphasized the need for people to check their bodies regularly to know the state of their health, regretting that most people hardly do that, thereby dropping dead unnecessarily from avoidable ailments.
She noted that the organization has therapeutic equipment for mental acumen, concentration, hallucination and delusion, as people oftentimes move around without knowing that they are unhealthy, saying that before any individual would be certified healthy, he or she must be psychologically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually sound.
She further warned people against living wayward or reckless lives and advised them to avoid things that could affect their hearts and increase their sugar levels in order to prevent unnecessary and untimely deaths.
