Tinubu sets March 31 deadline for ministers seeking 2027 offices
President Bola Tinubu has directed all political appointees, including ministers, advisers, and heads of federal agencies, who intend to contest in the 2027 elections to resign by March 31, 2026.
The move, in line with Section 88(1) of the Electoral Act 2026, aims to ensure compliance with electoral laws and a level playing field for aspirants.
