Shettima departs for Brazil for UN climate summit

Vice President Kashim Shettima has left Abuja for Belem, Brazil, to represent President Bola Tinubu at the 30th UN Climate Change Conference.

He will deliver Nigeria’s address, attend high-level sessions on climate action and energy transition, and hold talks on unlocking $3bn in carbon finance. Shettima will also meet Brazilian Vice President Geraldo Alckmin to strengthen bilateral ties before returning to Nigeria.
