Gov Okpebholo Suspends Land Approvals After 17-Year-Old Allegedly Acquires 14,000 Hectares
Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has halted the issuance of Certificates of Occupancy after discovering that a 17-year-old allegedly owns 14,000 hectares of land in the state.
He said an investigation is ongoing to uncover how the minor obtained the vast property, adding that C-of-O issuance will resume after the probe.
Okpebholo also accused former Governor Godwin Obaseki’s administration of wasting ₦8 billion on software consultancy, noting that his government has built an in-house system managed by trained state workers.
