The Nigerian Independent System Operator has intervened in the dispute between the Enugu State Electricity Regulatory Commission and the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company over a tariff cut, warning it could destabilise the national electricity market.

EEDC reportedly cut power supply to Enugu by 50% in protest against EERC’s order reducing Band A rates to N160/kWh. NISO urged dialogue to protect market stability, contract integrity, and industry sustainability.
