Gombe Police Arrest Drug Suspect, Seize 300+ Vehicles in Crime Crackdown

The Gombe State Police Command has arrested a suspected drug peddler and impounded over 300 motorcycles and tricycles during a statewide operation targeting crime and traffic violations.
Spokesperson Buhari Abdullahi said 26-year-old Muhammad Ibrahim was found with 136 Tramadol capsules, 568 Valium tablets, 226 wraps of Indian hemp, “Kurkura,” “Suck and Die,” and over N200,000 in cash.
Also recovered were 500 knives, 148 cutlasses, and other weapons traced to illegal fabricators.
In addition, 220 motorcycles and 69 tricycles were seized for violations including lack of registration and concealment aids. Some vehicles were linked to robbery and drug cases.
Three others were arrested for altering stolen phone IMEI numbers. Owners of impounded vehicles are to present valid documents for verification.
