Reps Probe Alleged Diversion of N1.12tn Agric Funds
The House of Representatives has launched a probe into the alleged diversion of N1.12 trillion disbursed under the Anchor Borrowers Programme.
The committee is also investigating NIRSAL Microfinance Bank over N215bn agribusiness loans and the Bank of Industry’s N3bn support to farmers. Lawmakers expressed concern over missing documentation from most participating banks, while NIRSAL cited insecurity and natural disasters as major challenges.
