Anambra Government Initiates Steps To Reclaim Land Allegedly Stolen from Obosi School

The Anambra State Government has initiated an operation to reclaim land reportedly seized from Community Secondary School Obosi, with the Physical Planning Board leading the efforts.
In a recent interview with Sir Kenneth Obi, Global President of the School Alumni, revealed that approximately a 170 acres of school land had been illegally sold to developers by land grabbers over three years ago.
The discovery prompted the alumni association to seek government intervention, which they have now received.
Sir Obi expressed satisfaction with the prompt response from the state government and highlighted the association’s ongoing infrastructure projects at the school, which include the construction of ICT centers for 100 students, smart classrooms, a borehole, a bakery for skill acquisition, and perimeter fencing.
Barrister Chike Maduekwe, Chairman of the Physical Planning Board and leader of the enforcement team, stated that Governor Chukwuma Soludo was deeply troubled upon learning of the land seizure, in response of which a committee chaired by Air Vice Marshal Chiobi was established to investigate the matter.
Barr. Maduekwe confirmed that his team has already begun marking illegal structures on the school premises for demolition as part of the land recovery process, commending the alumni’s commitment to development initiatives that benefit the school community.
