Gov Sani Urges Adoption of Kaduna Model for Nationwide Security Solutions

Governor Uba Sani has called on states facing security challenges to adopt the Kaduna State Model, highlighting its effectiveness in addressing insecurity through non-kinetic measures. Speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at an event organized by the Association of Zamfara State Indigenes Resident in Kaduna, Governor Sani, represented by his Special Adviser on Community Engagement, Malam Mohammed Jalal, pointed to the noticeable restoration of peace in areas like Birnin Gwari, previously a hotspot for insecurity. Governor Sani noted that his administration has prioritized peace-building efforts across Kaduna State since assuming office. He credited the success to the Peace Dialogue Group, a partnership between the state government, federal agencies, and security services, which has been instrumental in stabilizing the region. He also highlighted the reopening of the Birnin Gwari Market on November 29, 2024, after nearly a decade of closure due to security concerns. Similarly, the Kidandan Market in Giwa Local Government Area, long affected by insecurity, has also resumed operations, signaling a return to normalcy. Governor Sani emphasized that the collaborative and inclusive approach of the Kaduna Model has not only improved security but also revived economic activities in previously troubled areas.
