Stephen, Somtoo exchange vows in heartwarming marriage ceremony

It was an outpouring of emotion and joyous celebration in Awka as Stephen Ikenna, son of a former Head of Library and Information Science Department, UNIZIK, Dr Esther Aghauche, exchanged vows with his heartthrob, Somtoo Precious, Saturday.

The couple exchanged the marital vows and wedding ring during a special service at the Dunamis Glory Sanctuary, Amawbia, Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State.

The joyous celebration began with a beautiful morning church wedding, followed by a vibrant evening traditional marriage ceremony. The entire day was filled with love, laughter, and joy as a multitude of friends, colleagues, family, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the union of the lovely couple.

During his sermon entitled: “Understanding Reality of Marriage” , Pastor Abraham Yekini advised the couple to live in peace, show love to each other and put God first in all they do.

He reminded them that marriage is not a rehearsal, but a lifelong commitment that requires dedication, mutual respect, and value. According to Pastor Yekini, marriage is not a human institution, but a divine ordination that has no fault or error.

The Pastor urged the couple to exclude third-party interference and intrusion in their marriage, stressing the need for them to work as a unit even in challenging times to build a lasting relationship that honors God and brings glory to His name.

This correspondent reports that the bride and groom parents were beaming with joy throughout the celebration. Their happiness was palpable as they watched their children embark on their new life journey. 

Mr. and Dr. Aghauche cautioned the couple against allowing friends to influence their marriage. They emphasized the importance of maintaining open communication, trust, and mutual respect in their ordained relationship.

Speaking, the couple thanked God for the union, saying it is good to do the will of God in all things and appreciated those that graced the occasion.

The correspondent further reports that the momentous day not only marked the beginning of the couple’s lifelong journey together but also sealed their love and commitment to each other.
