Anambra State Govt Tasks Urum Community On Peaceful Conduct Ahead President General Election

The Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Community Affairs, Mr. Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne, has urged the people of Urum community in Awka North Council Area to maintain law and order during the election for President General slated for this Saturday, 5th October 2024.

The Commissioner gave the charge in his office at the Government House, Awka, while speaking on the preparedness of his ministry towards ensuring a peaceful, free, and fair election in Urum.

Commissioner Nwabunwanne, who made it clear that the state government, through his office, will not tolerate any form of misconduct during the Urum election, warned those intending to foment trouble at the election to steer clear.

He encouraged the people to come out and vote for their choice candidate, as the election will be free and fair, and their safety guaranteed.
