Fathers’ Day Celebration: CMO Disguises As CWO, Rakes In Money For Industrial Project

In a bid to generate fund for her industrial project, four members of the Catholic Men Organization, CMO, All Saints Parish, Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, Sunday, disguised themselves as members of Catholic Women Organization, CWO, during a fashion parade and generated huge sum of money for the CMO to set up industrial project.
The money, which was poured to them by invitees, laity and clergy, who were thrilled by their acrobatic and sensational feminal movement, really displayed the stuff they were made of.
Reacting to the display, the President of the CMO of the church, Brother Charles Opia, dismissed with the wave of the hand, belief that such disguise amounts to corrupting the children, adding that it is a mere fun to thrill the people during the Fathers’ day celebration.

“It is not abnormal for men to dress like women, it is just to make fun, afterall women, even pregnant ones put on trousers and knickers,” he hinted.
“We organised so many activities to assist us generate fund for an industry we want to set up in the parish to assist in curtailing unemployment and this fashion parade is one of them,” he stated.

He however frowned at the inability of the Federal Government to assist in curtailing the problems confronting Nigerians, even as he lamented that nobody wants to die or sacrifice himself for others as obtainable in other countries but would rather keep money instead of name.
Contributing, the social welfare chairman, Mr. Udo Stanley, corroborated the view of the President that money generated from the Fathers’ day celebration would be used in setting up industry for the church to curtail unemployment in the parish.
“There is nothing wrong for men to dress like women, just to be happy from developing High Blood Pressure, HBP, amongst us. We did the disguise in the open to show that there is nothing wrong in it.
On youths’restiveness, he disclosed that few days ago the CMO organised seminar for the youths which was aimed at bringing them up the right track and life expectancy, pointing out that Nigerian leaders are selfish and do not bother about others.
Among other activities lined up during the Fathers’ day celebration included, sack race, 100 metres race, news broadcast, among others.
