2nd Module of 7th Edition of IOC/NOC Advanced Sport Management Course Starts 21 Jan.

The second module of the 7th Edition of the IOC/NOC Advanced Sport Management Course will start today January 21 to January 24, 2025.

This was contained in a press release by the Public Relation Officer, PRO, National Olympic Committee, NOC, Mr Tony Nezianya.

According to him “This programme is an initiative of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) through Olympic Solidarity and the National Olympic Committees (NOCs).

“The Advanced Sport Management Course is designed to equip sports administrators with the knowledge and tools needed to bring about change and improvement within their sports organisations.

“It also aims to help stakeholders develop and maintain solid, sustainable administrative structures to deliver the support athletes and administrators require.

“Target Participants are stakeholders from State Sports Councils/Commissions and Higher Institutions.

“This edition will be conducted in a hybrid format, combining onsite sessions with virtual participation.

“Facilitators and Guest Speakers
Two IOC-certified Course Directors will anchor the programme:

“They are Prof. Fasan Clement, Lagos State University, and Dr Dyagas Jonathan, the Director of Finance at the Association of National Olympic Committee of Africa (ANOCA).

“Additional speakers will be invited to enrich the session while the President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel will be present to formally declare the session open.
