PDPCO Charges Party To Tow Line Of Equity Against 2023

As permutations and national discourse has continued to build in favour of the argument for Nigerian President of Igbo extraction at this crucial moment in the history of Nigeria, albeit, the dwindling unity, spiraling economic quagmire and total insecurity bedeviling Nigeria.

In a Press Statement issued by the National Coordinator, People’s Democratic Party Coalition, PDPCO, Chief Dr Emeka C Kalu in Abuja, and signed by his Media and Publicity Aide, Comr Amos Kalu, he has encouraged the main party to employ every level of diligence in seeking solutions through actions that will engender equity, unity, purpose and political hope to many Nigerians who has continued to float on uncertainty of possible future for Nigeria.

He argued that the only solution to myriad of Nigeria’s problem is to ensure unity and tranquility returns to the polity as Nigeria can on thrive under peaceful atmosphere, insisting that this atmosphere has eluded Nigerians under the present administration of Buhari and APC. PDP must ensure confidence is restored in the system by laying out actionable processes that tells the people that their mission is to save Nigeria for Nigerians and not just to grab power back in 2023.

“If you look at the national burners, the call for Nigerian President of Igbo extraction has taken the center stage and I believe that only the party that understands this time and key into it will come out more victorious in 2023.

“Above all our challenges, lack of unity and sense of belonging of the South Easterners has remained one of the factors threatening the unity and progress of Nigeria as the cry of marginalization has continued to permeate the very sinuses of our continued existence as a multinational, multicultural and multiethnic nation.

“I will be glad if the People’s Democratic Party understand the times and do the needful by reposing the confidence of Nigerians in the system, essentially the South East people who has so far been denied the opportunity to take a shot at the number one position in the nation.

“I will also advice the South Easterners to as a matter of urgency engage in dialogue and negotiations across every other regions to assure all that the quest for Igbo Presidency will not be an opportunity to revenge or retaliate any perceived wrong doing against the region since 1960, but rather a sign of opportunity for Nigeria to naturally heal and unite for a better future.

“But I know that the party in its wisdom will know what is best for the party and the nation, therefore we will always remain true to her course at all times to ensure that PDP will bounce back to the center in 2023 to rescue Nigeria from further decline” he promised.
