www.odogwublog.com reports that the Diora royal family of Ihiala community in Ihiala local government of Anambra state yesterday unveiled a new monarch, Oluoha Thomas Obidiegwu in a ceremony that took place at the town hall.

The spokesperson of the royal family, Ichie Sylvester Anyaigbo while presenting the monarch to the town union said that the traditional leadership of Ihiala community is not something to contest for because God himself present those he wants in that capacity through a natural process.

He condemned those he said are trying to take back the hand of the clock by dragging the issue of who becomes the next Oluoha of Ihiala to court which according to him is unnecessary waste of time and resources.

Ichie Anyaigbo however pointed out that the new monarch satisfied the article 1and 2 of the royal family's code of conduct and constitution.

In his speech, the President General of Ihiala Progress Union, Barr Jude Ngobili said the town union is apolitical and that it is not the duty of the town union to elect or select the new monarch which is said is the prerogative of the royal family.

He pointed out that the issue of who becomes the next Oluoha of Ihiala got to the Supreme Court before it was finally laid to rest which according to him should not be so if the natural selection process was respected.

The new monarch, Oluoha Thomas Obidiegwu while speaking during the presentation ceremony said pursuance of peace among the entire Ihiala community would be paramount in his day to day administration of the town.

He said he has nothing against those who took the issue of Oluoha to the court as they just tried their luck.

Oluoha Obidiegwu however solicited the support and cooperation of all and sundry to move Ihiala to the next level.
