Obiano begins construction of Ndiokpalaeke-Ndiokolo road with four bridges



www.odogwublog.com reports that Anambra state government has begun the construction of the only access road to Ndiokpaleke and Ndiokolo communities, in Orumba north LGA with four of the collapsed bridges/culverts across Uboh River already completed. 

Solberg Construction Company handling the road has started earth work and drainages on the road, even as the road would connect Ogboji community when completed. The contractor assured to complete on record time.
The Immediate past President General of Ndiokpaleke Town Union/ Coordinator of Orumba North Presidents-General Association , Hon Elochukwu Ernest Igboanugo while thanking Governor Willie Obiano for embarking on the project, appealed that work hasten to avoid the rainy season catching up with it.
He lamented that the deplorable condition of the only access road to the communities that has hindered evacuation of farm produce and suffering the road users were passing through, most especially during the raining season because the communities are agrarian communities.
Speaking while he played host to Orumba North council area President Generals , Hon Igboanugo who is now Special Assistant (SA) to Obiano on Political Matters said he was shocked he was asked to continue piloting the affairs of the local government communities when he was desirous to hand over. He said he was overwhelmed by that show of solidarity. He informed that Ndiokpaleke voted for Obiano's re-elecion 100 percent.
For Hon Romanus Obi, member representing Orumba North in the state House of Assembly , he confirmed that the young man, Elo as he is fondly called is Ndiokpalaeke and Ndiokpalaeke is him as he has attracted development to Ndiokpalaeke including Health Center, Electricity, road construction among others. He prayed that God elevates him during second term of Governor Obiano to serve Orumba North better.
On their part, the Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Anambra South senatorial zone and Ugwumba Aguata, Chief Titus Anigbogu  and Ichie Obiagbaoso Agbada from Umuchu insisted that Elo has done well for himself and his community , adding that the road he attracted is a blessing for his people. They prayed that Governor Obiano appoints him in higher position to assist his government because he is a star, waiting to shine.
www.odogwublog.com reports further that Presidents General of Orumba North turned down an election to re-elect a new Coordinator as the spokesperson of the group and President General of Awa Community, Prof Obikeze on behalf of others said he should continue in office until after Obiano’s inauguration for second term to determine when they would hold election.

Bibiana Igboanugo, his mother and sister in law, Ngozi Igboanugo were happy for God’s grace upon Elo while his father , Prince Raymond Igboanugo and brother Paul Igboanugo expressed gratitude to God for using his son in a way his father was used politically to improve the lives of his people.

The road was awarded in 2017 by Governor Willie Obiano though he promised to award it in 2016 when he came to the flag off the Twenty Million naira (N20 Million) modern Health center in Ndiokpaleke. The health centre is the community's choice of project in the choose-a-project initiative of Obiano's administration which will see the execution of projects worth N20m in each of the 179 communities and some markets in Anambra in the first phase.
Obiano had commended the Mr Ernest Elochukwu Igbanugo for galvanizing the communities in the council area in support of his administration and appealed to him not to relent.
He also promised to ensure that a secondary school will be instituted in the community to stop their wards from trekking over 7km to gain secondary education. 

Ndiokpalaeke, is an agrarian town in and one of the 177 communities in the state.
Prominent personalities from communities in Orumba North and South, Aguata and Ekwusigo beyond attended the event in solidarity including Chief Hyginus Aniche, PG Ndiokolo community (Ochendo).
