Nawfia Anglican Church Honours Mrs Obiano With Title Of Diamond Mummy

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Wife of the state Governor, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, has been conferred the Diamond Mummy of Saint Michael's And All Angel's Anglican Church Nawfia Njikoka Local Government Area.
Chief Mrs Obiano received the title from the women of the church during a special Sunday service to mark this year's Mothering Sunday of the Anglican Communion, celebrated all over the country yesterday.

Receiving the title, Chief Mrs Obiano appreciated the women for such recognition, assuring them that the good relationship that exists between the government and religious bodies in the state under the present administration would be sustained.

She advised the women to always try to live above board as nation builders, referring them to the biblical saying that wise women build their home while the unwise destroy it.

The Governor's Wife, called on husbands to always work in synergy with their wives for an ideal home were love and happiness prevail, saying that two good heads are better than one.

Chief Mrs Obiano advised women to be more proactive in instilling morality in their children to make them better ambassadors of their families and the society at large.

She also encouraged the women to embrace skills that would make them self reliant and financially supportive to their husbands in the family affairs, reminding them of the free skill acquisition training made available by her non-governmental organization, the Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFÉ, for women and indigent people in the state.

Earlier in a sermon, the Archdeacon, Nawfia Archdeaconry, and the Vicar of the Church Venerable Benjamin Ofili, while describing women as unique creature through which nations can be built or destroyed, charged them to be alive to their primary responsibility of motherhood in their various families in order to build a family that would forever be remembered positively.l
The Prelate, who regretted that many mothers fail on their duties, admonished them to retrace their steps, urging them to invest more in their children both educational and moral wise to be happy and proud mothers in their old age.
The wife of the Vicar, Nneora Nkiru Ofili in an interview described mothers Sunday as special day worldwide for mothers , harping on the need for husbands to love , honour and show respect to their wives while urging women to be obident and submissive to their husbands for a better home, society and Nigeria.
She described the award on Mrs Obiano as a demand for more service for Ndi Anambra at all times but particularly in the next four years they would be in government.

Highpoints of the church service were renditions by the mothers, decoration of the Governor's Wife as the Diamond Mummy of the church, and special prayers for her by Venerable Ofili.
