APGA Disowns Gov’s Aide Mr. Arinze Awogu over Anti-Party Activities in Anambra

www.odogwublog.com reports that the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA yesterday disassociated itself from the activities of the special Adviser  political to the Governor of Anambra State in Ogbaru LGA for what they described as sabotage and disobedient to the party guide line
The Chairman of the Party in the Local Government Area Hon  Nnamdi Ifejika announced this while addressing Party Chieftains and stakeholders in Ogbau constituency two yesterday.
He accused  Mr. Arinze Awogu a special adviser  political to the Governor , in the LGA  of parading himself as the House of Representatives candidate of the Party,  holding illegal Political meeting without the approval of the Party in disobedience to the Party rules and  directives.
He said  " nobody can hold any Political meeting to seek for any elective past yet  until the party lift ban on Political Campaign for the election into 2019 National Assembly election".
“I was told that he  has been going around in the local government, inviting people for a political meeting without the approval of the party or the party Chairman af Ogbaru LGA". "1 want to state categorically clear that I don’t know that person and I did not give such approval"
"Let me repeat,  that no person except the members of the national assembly, house of assembly in ogbaru constituency one and two or the leader of the party as well as the chairman of the party has the right to convene any political meeting without approval of the party. The party has standing directives that until the party so direct, all party members and aspirants to the national assembly election should hold any form of political meetings.
In his speech the member representing Ogbaru two constituency in the Anambra state house of assembly chief Idu  Benson Nwawulu said the gathering  of the stake holders in the constituency was part of the activities lined up for the constituency’s thanksgiving ceremony. “We deemed it necessary  to thank God and party members in ogbaru constituency two for their support and victory we had during the recent governorship election in which APGA  over run  all other political parties in the constituency with a wide margin”. The law maker noted that the ogbaru constituency one and two was among the LG  pencil down bythe governor and the party as area where the party will fail during the election but it turned to be  a surprise packet so we are grateful to God.
Chief Nwawulu said that the reason was that the PDP Governorship candidate  chief Oselloka Obaze hails from the LGA,secondly  there was another instigated leadership crisis that led to killings of some security operatives in the community to create the impression that there were criris in the community,  “This crisis led to the arrest of some prominent APGA supporters in the area and they were taken to prison custody for an alleged murder but as God may have  it we  were able to overcome the political trauma"
Chief Nwawulu also explained that because of the uncertainty the Governor could not come for campaign in the constituency ,neither did they get sponsors from any individuals or party members, except APGA  and  personal efforts. He said “am overwhelmed with joy  that after the election obgaru constituency two came out in flying colours and even performed better than their counterpart in constituency one which has 19 political positions against 4 in the constituency two".
Hon Linus Ezenwamma former member of the Anambra state House of Assembly and the immediate past president General of Okpoko community also thanked the party members in the area for their support to APGA and Governor Obiano and urged them to continue to give their unflinching support to the party and chief Nwawulu whom he said, has done creditably well in the lower chambers and needed to go to National Assembly to represent them this time around.
He also announced to the party stakeholders in the constituency that  okpoko constituency one is  already beckoning on chief Nwawulu to contest for the House of Representatives election in 2019 when the time comes and appealed for the support of all.
He recalled  that since the creation of Anambra state no person from ogbaru constituency two had represented ogbaru  constituency in the National Assembly at the National level be it indigenes or none indigenes in spite their support and population, a development he said was unhealthy for people of the area politically.
In their separate speeches the deputy chairman of the LG  transition committee and the immediate past chairman of the party in the LG  Hon Chimezie Osigwe and chief Ojiba Unogu said the victory recorded was in appreciation of Governor Obiano’s vissible and land mark achievements and vowed that the L G will continue to support him and chief Nwawulu’s future political ambition
